Hundreds of new subscribers have poured into our community in the past 48 hours after my post on Meta’s divorce from the media bargaining code hit a nerve worldwide.

New members have signed up from The New York Times, the UK’s Financial Times, as well as Nova, SBS, Optus, and Austrade in Australia. There were more from Agence France Presse, Amazon, Microsoft, Apple and Yahoo, among others.

Given this is Scotch and Watch (a newsletter that began with me sharing headlines sent to me by mates to noodle on over a whisky) I’m delighted to welcome Barossa Valley’s Durand Distillery too.
