Why we can't rely on machines to get our message out

Joining the creator economy has been satisfying and emotionally nourishing. I’ve been invited to headline global conventions, given a radio slot, and spoken at the UN. I’ve even been recognised in the street, in London!
It’s also the first time I’ve published as my own voice, that is without an editor. At least, that’s what I thought, and that’s the subject for today.
Because I do have an editor it turns out, as we all have if we use digital platforms for distribution.
That editor chooses what you the audience see, and do not see, and as a consequence, what you know, or rather what its algo, wants you to know.
It’s kind of creepy. An editor in the shadows, making promises of free speech, but whose actions often do something entirely different.
Who do you complain to? Where’s the accountability? So, let’s drag that editor into the light today...
