Every now and again, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg opens his kimono to reveal to the world a brief insight inside his brain.
I love tracking these. Last year, I serialised his most recent thoughts which he had revealed in a long manifesto for close friends and associates.
But that was before the AI rocket took off, which makes his latest brain dump all the more interesting.
Before reading his musings, I considered him an autocrat and free speech absolutist, typified by his move fast and break things ethos.
But along the way - and after talking with those who have worked with him - I’ve come to have a more nuanced understanding.
Zuck sees himself as a society builder. He believes his destiny is to create the tech to enable his utopian vision of the future to emerge.
