I’m on a high horse and the air’s pretty thin. I’ve been asked to speak truth to a very influential US think tank - and I’ve decided I’m going to hold forth.

It’s early this morning, and the Open Markets Institute in Washington DC is on the line. It focuses on the danger of corporate power and has asked me to talk to its team.

Its agenda has growing bipartisan support in US politics, and former fellow Lina Khan went on to become the most notable FTC Commissioner in recent memory.

Not bad for a pre-breakfast pow-wow. I threw back a few coffees, made sure the kids were dressed and fed, and it was time for business.
