Revolution at Meta as the court of karma closes in

Napoleon once said: "If I were to give liberty to the Press, my power could not last three days." Zuck's getting a crash course in what he meant...

Welcome to my latest AI-generated podcast experiment.

Over the past few months, I’ve been exploring whether AI can efficiently convert words and pictures into podcasts fit for human consumption and monetisation.

I’ve watched as Google’s Notebook AI has added inflection, humour, and increasingly human-like interactions.

It’s now on the cusp of being usable in my view.

For this week’s experiment, I uploaded a lengthy investigation I had done exploring the parallels between Napoleon’s control over the Press and present day America.

The prompt was the increasingly cosy relationship between Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Donald Trump, culminating in his removal of fact checkers.

To create this pod, I uploaded this article.

I then briefed the AI to state clearly it was sourced from my newsletter, so listeners knew its provenance. This is valuable to original content creators and journalists.

I told the AI to create the podcast in a tone and pace that would appeal to savvy leaders from the news media, tech and marketing industries.

I then told it dive into the history, but provide a conclusion taking the lessons of history and applying them to what may lie ahead for America in 2025.

I’m going to give it an 8/10. It’s one of the best so far, but you let me know what you think.
