Microsoft has announced a $5 billion investment to put a ring of steel around Australia to protect the nation from cyber-hacking in the era of AI.
The Seattle tech giant will also work with TAFE to train 1.2 million young people in the latest developer skills, as well as create jobs through a host of new data centres across the country.
But I was interviewed on Disrupt Radio to question whether we can trust Big Tech with such critical infrastructure and projects after 20 years of disappointments.
